Atkey and Company completed a commission to reinstate period features at this 1851 property in the popular Little Venice area of Maida Vale, London. The client required reinstatement of period joinery throughout. Joinery was designed using authentic Victorian moulding patterns informed in part by samples of original joinery found on site.
For the main rooms a classic Victorian four panel door design from the Atkey and Company Victorian door collection was used with bespoke mouldings. Door linings, skirting, bifold doors, under stair doors and window panels were designed and created for the client.
The reinstated period joinery lends a consistent elegance to this London property which enjoys a modern interior design twist with contemporary illumination, floor and bathroom finishes. Each tailor made piece of architectural joinery was created in our workshops in Somerset.
